I joined this tourney late, played up to 32,000 right away then
took a 1.5 hour break to eat Turkey dinner with the family. Then
rejoined to make final table.

I did get very lucky once A5 vs. AK but otherwise used reads to gain chips. I played position, I buffed when I could - sometimes I got caught but even used that to my advantage. I used the same strategies and knowledge from my Texas Hold'em book.
I made the final table not playing for 1.5 hours as my chip count halved, and turned $3.30 US into 12.17 times as much money.
